Planned Parenthood believes that all of us benefit from healthy communities and healthy families, in which every person has access to high-quality, affordable, and confidential health care from a provider of choice. We support a health care system that prioritizes prevention, and ensures that all individuals have the information and services they need to stay safe and healthy.
As an essential health care provider, Planned Parenthood health centers serve as a critical entry point into the health care system for millions of women, men and teens who rely on our health centers for basic health care. Today more than 7 in 10 patients who access care through a women’s health center consider it their primary source of health care.
For more than 90 years, Planned Parenthood has been a health care provider helping women and their families “plan” for happy, healthy and productive futures. Help us work with the Administration, Congress and our state elected officials to make women’s health – and the health of their families – a priority. Approximately 17 million American women and 1.7 Florida women have no health insurance coverage. I believe that increasing health insurance coverage for women is essential and expanding access to women's health centers, like Planned Parenthood, must go hand-in-hand with increasing health insurance coverage.
