Planned Parenthood to Host Booth at Clackamas County Fair

It has become clear that misinformation surrounding women’s reproductive health in health care reform is being used as a red herring to derail the entire bill.  As attacks on women’s health care continue to increase in frequency and intensity, we must ensure that lawmakers understand that women cannot be worse off after health care reform than they are today.

We have been working too long and too hard this summer to give up now!  These past few months, we have attended over 35 community events and gathered 8,000 signatures from constituents who want to ensure that women have access to affordable care by a provider they trust.

As Congress goes on break for the next five weeks, we must keep the momentum going.  Next week, we will host a booth at the Clackamas County Fair to educate supporters on the importance of prioritizing comprehensive reproductive health care in the reform process while gathering signatures of support for our campaign.

You can do your part to keep the campaign for women's health rolling by signing up to work a shift. We need your help on the following days and times.

Tuesday, August 18th:  10am to 1pm, 1pm to 4pm
Friday, August 21st:  1pm to 5pm, 5pm to 8pm and 8pm to 11pm
Saturday, August 22nd:  5pm to 8pm and 8pm to 11pm
