As
you know, Congress has been working to reform our health care
system for the last several months. Planned Parenthood has been
working to ensure that reproductive health services are
prioritized every step of the way.

Throughout the debate, we have seen anti-choice
hardliners emerge in attempts to take away access to
reproductive health care in the new plan.
Opponents of health care reform —
and especially those fighting against women's health —
have been loud and aggressive. Women across the
country are counting on us and right now, Planned Parenthood is
diverting as much energy as we possibly can toward stopping
them.
It is expected
that the Senate will take up floor consideration of the health
care reform package over the next couple weeks.
It is critical that we keep up the pressure throughout the final
stretch of this process.

Planned Parenthood will
host a booth at the Women’s Show in Portland on October
30th-November 1st. This event is one of
the best opportunities of the year for us to reach supporters
from all over the state. We need your help staffing the
booth so that we can educate as many supporters as possible on
the important role that women’s health care must have in
the reform package. In addition, we need your support
gathering signatures of support for our campaign so that we can
deliver them to our senators, pressuring them to do the right
thing.
