The short explanation of this alert was:
Earlier this month, Governor Sebelius vetoed House Substitute for Senate Bill 389 (H Sub SB 389), the Abortion Restriction Bill of 2008.
This blatant government intrusion is an attempt to undermine the provision of safe and legal abortion services in Kansas endangering the health and safety of women. This bill does nothing to protect the health and safety of women or prevent unintended pregnancy.
Tell your senator – voting for more restrictions does nothing to protect women's health care!
