Nearly 4 million women are counting on you to help keep birth control affordable
As a result of a law enacted in January — called the Deficit Reduction Act, or the "DRA" — the price of birth control pills at universities and health centers across the country has doubled, tripled, or worse. In addition, our own Planned Parenthood health centers in Mississippi and Alabama have been forced to raise prices for women that are coming to us, a safety net provider, because they cannot otherwise afford their contraceptives.
Senator Thad Cochran needs to know that the residents of Mississippi care about this issue.
Hundreds of thousands of women across the country are losing access to birth control because they cannot afford this increase in the cost of their pills. This puts women at increased risk of unintended pregnancy and serious health issues.
Take action now and tell Thad Cochran to put birth control back within women's reach. Let him know that women deserve access to affordable birth control.
Tell Thad Cochran to fix the birth control pricing problem caused by the Deficit Reduction Act and protect women's health.
Birth control is basic health care; women and couples should not be denied access to contraception!
