Nearly 4 million women are counting on you to help keep birth control affordable

As a result of a law enacted in January — called the Deficit Reduction Act, or the "DRA" — the price of birth control pills at universities and health centers across the country has doubled, tripled, or worse.  In addition, our own Planned Parenthood health centers in Alabama and Mississippi have been forced to raise prices for women that are coming to us, a safety net provider, because they cannot otherwise afford their contraceptives.

The men who represent Alabamians in Congress and the United States Senate need to know that the residents of Alabama care about this issue.

Hundreds of thousands of women across the country are losing access to birth control because they cannot afford this increase in the cost of their pills. This puts women at increased risk of unintended pregnancy and serious health issues.

Take action now and tell your Congressmen and Senators to put birth control back within women's reach.  Let them know that women deserve access to affordable birth control.

Tell Congress to fix the birth control pricing problem caused by the Deficit Reduction Act and protect women's health.

Birth control is basic health care; women and couples should not be denied access to contraception!
