We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Planned Parenthood Northwest Action Network.

The short explanation of this alert was:

Both the Senate and House budget proposals restore some critical state funding for family planning programs to stave off the 19 clinic closures that were expected, and raise revenue to protect some essential programs in Washington.  This is great news, but we’re not done yet!  We must let legislators know to restore family planning funding at the higher Senate budget level, and ensure enough revenue to protect programs like digital mammograms.

Legislators need to hear from you that Washington can and should fund family planning at the Senate level of $3.5 million, and doing it is just plain good budgeting since it saves money.
