We're sorry, this alert is no longer available. If you would like to learn more about ways you can take action, please visit Planned Parenthood of Central North Carolina.

The short explanation of this alert was:

NC Women United is committed to advancing public policies that support the full, economic, legal and social equality of women.

The 2010 Legislative "short session" recently started and our North Carolina legislators are back in Raleigh!

It is more important than ever that we unite and TAKE ACTION to let our legislators know that women are facing unique challenges in the current economy and our needs cannot be ignored!

Please review NCWU's Legislative Report Card to learn more about the issues at stake in the 2010 Legislative session. (Pay special attention to the issues marked as "Pending" since those will be the bills up for debate in the 2010.)

Then, take action to let your legislators know that you value the lives, health, civic participation and economic stability of women in our society!

How? We make it easy!

  1. Consider the general talking points below on the issues at stake-- they may help you contextualize your email.
  2. Then, compose an email in the space below to your legislators that reflects why you support the Women's Legislative Agenda. You can be as general or specific as you'd like. We've even written a sample email for you if you just can't think of what it is you'd like to say!
  3. Fill in your name and address so your email will automatically be sent to your legislators.
  4. Click "Send this message" and you've participated in 2010's Virtual Advocacy Day-- THANK YOU!
