The short explanation of this alert was:

Take Action!

Join hundreds of women from across North Carolina on Tuesday, June 20th, for Women's Advocacy Day 2006, hosted by NC Women United.  Women from across North Carolina will gather at the state capital to voice their support of the Women's Advocacy Day legislative agenda.

The Women's Agenda addresses various policy issues currently pending in the NC legislature, including access to health care services, reproductive rights, raising the minimum wage, preventing violence against women, and elections and lobbying reform.

We need your help to  make our voices louder!  If you can't join us in Raleigh(and even if you can!), please take a moment to join us "virtually" by emailing your elected officials today!

Please edit the letter below with your own thoughts and stories.  Let your elected officials know you support the 2006 Women's Advocacy Day legislative agenda and ask them to do the same!
