Support Montana's Family Planning Clinics!
An Amendment to HB 820 (Lind, D-Missoula) simply states that the State of Montana will allocate $1.2 million dollars over the next two years to support Montana's 15 family planning (Title X) clinics in 29 communities across the state. These are NOT abortion clinics; rather, these clinics provide reproductive health care such as low and no cost contraception, annual exams, pregnancy tests, and STI screenings.

I urge you to support Senator Lind's amendment to HB 820. This measure would allocate much-needed funding to Montana's 15 family planning clinics. In 2006, nearly 70% of men and women seen at these clinics were uninsured. Furthermore, 98% of women of reproductive age access contraceptive services. Montana's family planning clinics prevented 2,647 abortions last year alone. Please, support this very important funding measure.
