Birth Control IS Basic Healthcare

Last Chance to Sign Our Petition!

What would you do if your doctor prescribed medication necessary for your basic health, but your local pharmacy refused to carry the prescription because the owner didn't "believe" in it?  Yes, it's hard to believe that something like this could happen to YOU and those you care about. But it is happening in Great Falls, Montana.

In an outrageous move to stop women from preventing unintended pregnancies and making decisions about their own healthcare, Snyder Drug, a locally owned and operated pharmacy, has decided to no longer carry oral contraceptives --- birth control.  Why?  Because the owners don't "believe" in birth control. Don’t think it is “safe” for women despite facts to the contrary. And, believe birth control is akin to abortion.

This is discrimination, plain and simple, and it must be stopped.  Fight back with Planned Parenthood of Montana — sign our Fill My Pills petition today.

Subject: Fill My Pills!

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

We, the undersigned, join Planned Parenthood of Montana in demanding that pharmacies dispense medication, not moral judgment. We understand that individual pharmacists may have personal concerns about filling certain prescriptions, but that should NEVER interfere with a patient's ability to get medication in a timely manner and without embarrassment from his or her local pharmacy. As consumers, we will think twice about spending our money at any pharmacy that does not adopt and make public a policy allowing women to purchase the products they need, in particular birth control.
