!!!Encourage the U.S. Department of Health and
Human Services to reverse a dangerous midnight
regulation!!!
In the
last days of the Bush Administration, the U.S. Department of
Health and Human Services (HHS) finalized a
regulation that significantly limits patients’
access to health care services and important information about
health care options. As more families are uninsured and under
economic assault, Bush fueled our
health care crisis by limiting access to quality, affordable
care, including women’s access to basic
reproductive health care services and
information.
The midnight
HHS regulation, published in the Federal Register on December
19, 2008 and in effect since
January, 18 threatens
women's access to basic health
information and services, including common forms of birth
control.
The new
administration and the new Congress are
taking immediate action to reverse this harmful
rule. President Obama has begun the process of
overturning the Bush administration rule that poses a grave
threat to women's health and the rule's rescission
is underway.
Help us show public
support for the rescission of this rule, and
submit a comment to the Department of
Health and Human Services before the official comment period
ends on April 9th.
