Concerned by what you
are hearing about Supreme Court nominee Judge John Roberts? Take
action to make sure the senators on the Senate Judiciary
Committee ask the right questions.
Join Planned Parenthood of Michigan for Supreme
Court Days of Action. We will be making phone calls from two
sites in Michigan to pro-choice supporters in key states, urging
them to take action and call their senators on the Judiciary
Committee. Since this is such a time-sensitive issue, we need
all the help we can find to urge concerned citizens, like
yourself, to take action and make sure that Judge John Roberts
answers questions about reproductive and privacy rights.
We will make phone calls from Detroit and
Lansing; all of the dates and times are the same for
the two locations.
Monday, August 29th,
5:30–9:00 p.m. Tuesday, August 30th, 5:30-9:00
p.m. Wednesday, August 31st, 5:30-9:00 p.m. Thursday,
September 1st, 5:30-9:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 6th,
5:30-9:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 7th, 5:30-9:00
p.m. Thursday, September 8th 5:30-9:00 p.m.
Detroit location: 220 Bagley Avenue, Suite 530, Detroit
Lansing location: 115 West Allegan, Suite 500, Lansing
At the request of our sister affiliate in Pennsylvania, we
have been asked to hold a Day of Action in the Pittsburgh
area on Saturday, September 10th. Right now we are gauging
interest to see if Michigan activists are interested in urging
Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Arlen Specter to ask Judge John
Roberts his position on Roe v. Wade and privacy rights.
If there is enough interest, we will make arrangements for
Michiganders to mobilize pro-choice supporters in Pennsylvania.
Please contact Christina either via email at christina.kuo@ppfa.org
or call 517-482-1080 x3 to sign up for a Supreme Court day(s) of
action.
