30 days to make it happen
LAST CHANCE: The deadline for submitting comments in support of President Obama's new rule protecting patients' rights is April 9 at midnight.
This is our chance to protect women's health.
President Obama has begun the process of overturning the Bush administration rule that poses a grave threat to women's health. By adding your name to our list and showing your support, we can all look forward to President Obama restoring the rights of patients to receive complete and accurate reproductive health information and services, without fear that health care providers will withhold vital information and services based on their personal biases.
We need as many people as possible to submit comments to the Department of Health and Human Services before the official comment period ends on April 9 at midnight.

Subject: I support restoring patients' rights
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I am writing to strongly urge the Department of Health and Human Services to rescind the HHS refusal regulation (re: "Rescission Proposal"). This regulation poses a serious threat to health care by limiting the rights of patients to receive complete and accurate health information and services. It is particularly dangerous for low-income individuals and those who live in rural areas -- the folks least able to access alternative health care providers who will offer them the information, counseling, and services they need. It is unconscionable and unnecessary.
At a time when more and more families are uninsured and under economic stress, when our health care system is in crisis, it's time to ensure patients' ability to access basic health care and information. Please rescind the regulation.
Sincerely,
|
