Peter J. Durkin President and CEO
of Planned Parenthood of Louisiana and the
Mississippi Delta

We're nearing the end of September,
which is Gynecologic Cancer Awareness Month and Planned
Parenthood of Louisiana and the Mississippi Delta is encouraging
women to visit their health care providers to receive basic,
preventive cervical cancer screenings and treatments to help
save their lives. Please make sure that you and the women in
your life visit a health care provider to receive basic,
preventive cervical cancer screenings and treatments. Visit our
website to find a Health
Center near you.
As an essential community provider,
Planned Parenthood plays an important role in delivering
quality, affordable care to millions of women nationwide who
would not otherwise be able to afford it. As Congress
continues the debate over health care reform, we must do
everything we can to ensure community providers and
comprehensive reproductive health care are included in the
health care reform package. Women's health must be a
priority - women should not be worse off after health care
reform than they are today.
Please call Senator Landrieu today and let
her know that women's health matters!
