Senate hearings on the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the Supreme Court are over. And for pro-choice Americans celebrating 33 years of Roe v. Wade last week, the verdict is in. Senate hearings on the confirmation of supreme court nominee Samuel Alito are over, and the decision now rests with the full Senate. As your constituent, I urge you to reject the confirmation of Alito.

During the hearings, Alito made it clear that he does not consider Roe settled law. Between Judge Alito's long record of hostility to women's rights and his answers at the hearings, he leaves us no option but to believe he would vote against protections for women's health, safety, and equality if confirmed to the court.

Last week marked the 33rd anniversary of Roe v. Wade. I urge you to protect women and reject the confirmation of Samuel Alito to the U.S. Supreme Court. And please encourage your Senate colleagues to do the same.
