Background Information

In July, Representative Gene Taylor voted for an amendment that would have denied Title X family planning funds from all Planned Parenthoods around the nation. 

Title X is the family planning program for the United States. 

  • Title X patients are predominantly poor and uninsured; two-thirds have incomes at or below the federal poverty level.
  • Low-income women are four times more likely to face unintended pregnancies.  The vast majority of Planned Parenthood patients have incomes at or below 200% of the Federal Poverty level.

Help us let Representative Gene Taylor know that Mississippians do not appreciate his outrageous vote to reduce access to family planning for millions of women, men and teens!
