Take Action to Save Family Planning Programs

The economic situation in our state and nation is grim.  As more people lose their jobs and health care, they turn to Planned Parenthood for help.  Funding for family planning is in danger.  We need your help to make sure that tens-of-thousands of low-income Washingtonians get the basic reproductive health care they need.

Cutting family planning just doesn't make sense.  For every dollar our state invests in family planning, Washington saves over four dollars in unintended pregnancy care costs.

We know that investing in family planning saves money and saves lives.  Now let's make sure our legislators know it, too.

Write your legislators today and ask them to retain $10 million in funding for family planning in the budget.

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

I am writing to urge you to retain $10 million dollars for family planning in the operating budget.

The economic situation in our state and our nation is terrible. As more people lose their jobs and health care, they turn to Planned Parenthood and other family planning providers for help. It's common sense to provide family planning services that will save our state $37 million this biennium.

Family Planning has already sustained a massive cut. This $10 million for family planning must be retained in order to keep the safety net of family planning clinics intact for low-income Washingtonians.

Sincerely,
