Today is National HIV Testing Day. Planned Parenthood's Teen Council, a group of young Tri-Cities Leaders, were scheduled to be outside of the Richland, WA Wal*Mart distributing information about HIV Testing and Prevention... until the extremist anti-choice group the American Life League stepped in!

As is typical of their witch-hunting style, this Washington D.C. based group issued press releases falsely characterizing this volunteer HIV Education event and attacked Planned Parenthood and the Teen Council with baseless claims.

If we are going to stop the spread of deadly sexually transmitted diseases like HIV, ideology can not be allowed to trump public health.

Planned Parenthood needs your help now!  We are asking all of our supporters to call the Richland Wal*Mart to tell them we are all extremely disappointed that Wal*Mart cancelled this important HIV Education event, and put the wishes of extremists ahead of crucial community health information that empowers people to make responsible choices.

Please call:  509-628-8420 and let Wal*Mart know that their actions were unacceptable, and that Planned Parenthood is a trusted provider of community health information.
