Comprehensive Sex Ed

Join us in the Fight to Stop Teen Pregnancy

Comprehensive Sex education is the best weapon we have in our nations' fight to reduce teen pregnancy.

While Senators debate the legality of a trusted adult helping a teen seeking an abortion across state lines, they are failing to see the bigger picture.  If teenagers learn methods to protect themselves from pregnancy, abortion issues, such as the one mentioned above would not exist.

Fortunately there are senators who see the link between teen pregnancy prevention and comprehensive sex education.  An amendment to the Child Custody Protection Act will be offered by Senators Lautenberg and Menendez.  This amendment would create a teen pregnancy prevention program providing medically-accurate, comprehensive sex education.  This type of legislation is the best means to reduce teen pregnancy and abortion.  We encourage you to contact your senator and tell them to join the real fight to reduce teen pregnancy, the fight that includes comprehensive, medically accurate sex education.

Subject: The Fight Reduce Teen Pregnancy

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

On July 25th the Child Custody Protection Act will come before the Senate. This act will not address the real cause of teen abortion. In fact this bill fails to recognize the best way to reduce teen pregnancy and subsequent abortion.

Comprehensive, medically accurate sex education will equip teenagers with the tools they need to protect themselves against, not just teen pregnancy, but other devastating diseases. Comprehensive sex education is our best option to reduce teen pregnancy.

I urge you to vote against the Child Custody Protection Act and fight for effective solutions to reducing teen pregnancy.

Sincerely,

Campaign Launched:
July 24, 2006
