Help us elect a pro-choice champion!

As you know, Virginia has off-year elections, and that means that every legislator in the House of Delegates is up for re-election. In Northern Virginia, there's a lot at stake. Planned Parenthood has endorsed Greg Werkheiser for delegate in the 42nd district, and we need your help to get him elected.

First, some background: the current delegate in the 42nd, Del. Albo, has spent his legislative career playing politics with women's health - even when that means stripping Planned Parenthood of funding altogether.  Yet instead of being honest with voters, Del. Albo lies about his votes.  Virginians deserve better!

Because voter turnout is much lower in off-year elections, every vote will count. Planned Parenthood will be knocking on doors and talking voters to educate them on the stark differences between the candidates.

But, we cannot do this alone! Can you spare a few hours to make a tremendous difference?

We know that making phone calls can be scary if you've never done it before, so we will provide you with training beforehand. As we learned during the 2008 elections, talking directly to voters is the best way to impact them. It's fun, easy, and effective! Please consider helping us win in '09!
