As the legislative session winds down, anti-choice members of the General Assembly are making desperate attempts to add anti-abortion amendments to just about everything that is moving.
HB1299, a bill that relates to creating hospital authority contracts and was introduced to fix the problems at Grady, is on the Senate floor TODAY. Your Representative Mike Jacobs is the lead sponsor of this bill.
A handful of Senators are trying to amend HB 1299 in an attempt to ban abortions from taking place at Grady unless there is a risk to the woman’s life. That’s unacceptable.
We need to demand that Mike Jacobs not sacrifice the health and safety of poor women to get this bill passed. Take Action this afternoon!
