Protect Young People's Health...Provide Them with REAL SEX Education!

As a young person or ally who supports REAL sex education, I believe that young people have the right to receive education that teaches about both abstinence and contraception, and provides medically accurate and age-appropriate information that helps them lead safe, healthy lives.

I urge the leaders of Congress to support the Responsible Education About Life Act (H.R.1653/S.972) to create the first ever dedicated funding stream for comprehensive sex education. Programs funded would educate young people about teenage pregnancy and how to prevent STDs, including HIV. These programs would also teach about such topics as healthy relationships and communication skills.

It is time for policymakers to get REAL about empowering young people by giving them the reliable, accurate information they need to make responsible decisions and stay healthy.
