Access to immediate, safe and affordable reproductive health care is crucial to one’s safety and well being. However, research has found that individuals who need these services the most, access them the least.

The Latino population is the youngest and fastest growing minority group in the United States where about 1 in 7 U.S. women of reproductive age are Latinas. Yet, Latinos face some of the most alarming disparities in health care, particularity in the area of reproductive health care.

During this informative four-hour training session we will:

  • Review up-to-date statistics on the state of Hispanics in the U.S.
  • Increase awareness about the various cultures within the Latino Culture
  • Explore tips and tools to effectively reach the growing Latino population
  • Discuss how Machismo and Marianismo cultural influences can promote healthy sexuality and family communication around sex
  • Share how to formulate a plan to include Latinos as part of your mission
  • Reveal resources that are available within your own agency and others

Pre-registration is required.
Registration deadline is April 15
Training fee: $25
Fees include materials and light breakfast
