Send a message to the Aurora City Council!

Greetings,

Anti-choice extremists are continuing their campaign against our Aurora health center.  Their latest tactic is to fight our application for additional parking spaces.  We have applied to the city for additional parking spaces to create a safer and more secure environment for our staff.  Currently, we do not have enough parking for our staff.  As a result, some employees cannot park near our building which opens them up to harassment from anti-choice protestors who regularly follow and heckle them when they are going to and from work.

On Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at 6:00 p.m.the Aurora City Council will take up this issue and decide whether or not to grant Planned Parenthood additional parking.

Please send a letter to the Aurora mayor and City Council members.  Tell them that you support Planned Parenthood's request for additional parking because it is an issue of safety.

Send a letter to the following decision maker(s):
Aurora Officials (if you live in Aurora)

Subject: I support Planned Parenthood's request for additional parking spaces

Dear [decision maker name automatically inserted here],

I support Planned Parenthood's application for additional parking spaces at their health care facility in Aurora.

Planned Parenthood has requested additional parking to ensure the safety of their employees. It is important that people who are going to and from work are safe and secure. Allowing Planned Parenthood to expand parking will help provide security for their staff.

Sincerely,

[Your Name]

What's At Stake:

Anti-choice extremists are using every opportunity to interfere with Planned Parenthood business operations.  They want to make it as difficult as possible for our patients to access reproductive health care.  And they want to make it as difficult as possible for our staff to provide that care.

The issue of parking at the Aurora health center is an issue of safety.  Employees should be able to have a secure place to park so that they can avoid confrontations when they are entering and leaving the building.

Their opposition to additional parking only confirms what we already knew, anti-choice extremists will find any reason to attack our health center.
