Comment on Proposed Regulation
A proposed regulation would allow ALL health care employees to refuse to provide certain services that they are morally opposed to doing.
This sweeping change would critically impact health care in this country and attempts to strip life-saving services from low-income women and families.
This rule change would mean everyone who works for your health care provider, from the doctor to the receptionist, can have a say in the personal decisions you and your doctor make.
For example: A receptionist could refuse to fill your order for contraceptives because he/she is morally opposed to preventative measures. Under this new rule, this person would receive legal protections from losing their job.

Subject: Provider Conscience Regulation
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
I would like to register my comments against the proposed regulation that would allow doctors, and all health care industry employees, to refuse to provide services based on their moral objections.
This is nothing but an attempt to interject ideology into the doctors office, and interfere in the relationship between a patient and his/her health care provider.
I do not agree that this is even a problem to begin with, and in fact creates more problems by opening the door to unclear, and potentially unfair future restrictions.
Sincerely,
|
