Save Medicaid Family Planning!

The Medicaid Family Planning State Option was removed from the Economic Stimulus package currently in debate in Congress.  Republican attacks, and partisan tactics led to the removal of this vital health-care safety net program.

Contact your member of Congress today and tell them the Medicaid Family Planning State option is essential for low-income and uninsured women and families in Iowa and across the U.S.

The following e-mail will be sent your member of Congress and President Barack Obama. You may add a personal message in the box below.

Subject: Save the Medicaid Family Planning State Option

Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,

The Medicaid Family Planning State Option that was removed from the Economic Stimulus plan currently in debate is essential to the welfare of low-income and uninsured women and families across the U.S.

Not only does it provide a necessary health-care safety net for those in need, but it also will save states up to $4 for every $1 invested in this program by reducing unintended pregnancies.

During these fragile economic times, it is essential that women receive the health care they need, and deserve.

As millions continue to lose their jobs and health care coverage, I am disappointed that Congress chose to ignore this essential aspect of the Economic Stimulus package.

Sincerely,
