The Iowa Legislature approved the state budget including a 5 percent increase to the Medicaid Family Planning Waiver, as well as $10,000 for the state family planning line item.

Send an e-mail to legislator’s who voted in favor of the budget and thank them for their support.

Thank you for your vote on the HHS budget and for being a champion for family planning in Iowa. Because of you, family planning funding in Iowa was not eliminated during this difficult economy.

The 5 percent increase for the Medicaid Family Planning Waiver is a great step forward in improving access to basic health care and family planning services for low-income women.

I'm also appreciative of your efforts to maintain the family planning line item in the state budget.

I'm grateful we were able to save these vital funds from being completely eliminated.
