New Users
If you have hired a new staff person who will be working with GetActive, here's
how to get them started:
- Notify Ruby and your field manager
of the new coworker
- Read the Guide for New Public Affairs Staff

- Request a new ToolsForChoice.org
account
- Request a new GetActive manager
account
- Log into
GetActive and use the
form at Dashboard >
Help > Support.
Submit your request for a new manager account,
including
the person's name, e-mail address, and phone
number.
- If the new hire is a replacement, submit your
request to remove
the old manager's account from the same form.
- Show your coworker how to find
training and support
in GetActive
- Review the schedule of trainings.
- Make sure your coworker utilizes the appropriate GetActive trainings:
- Dashboard > Help > Training > Start Overview Tutorial.
- Dashboard > Help > Training > View Online Tutorials.
- Dashboard > Help > Training > Register for Web Training Classes.
- Review the PPFA GetActive
README
which
will complement training already
offered by GetActive.
- Show your coworker how you use
GetActive
- Spend at least an hour reviewing what you do
with it, what
you would like to do or see done with it.
- Contact Ruby if you have any questions or need
additional training
