This week there will be a vote on HB 3200, which would provide more affordable health care for everyone in America. Representatives who are “Blue Dogs” want to eliminate the financial support in this bill for millions of middle-class Americans who have to purchase health care on their own.

Without help for middle-class families, they would have to pay $1,050 a month for health insurance, which is 3X more than members of Congress pay ($357/month).

Instead of making middle-class families pay thousands of dollars for health insurance, Blue Dogs should support the surcharge on families who earn more than $350,000.

Here's what you can do:

First, call your Representative right now and tell him to stand up for middle class families by voting yes on HB 3200!

The House health care bill, H.R. 3200, will provide quality, affordable health care with good benefits and affordable costs for average, middle income people.

Middle income families shouldn’t have to pay three times more than the average Member of Congress for health care. Please vote yes for H.R. 3200, America's Affordable Health Choices Act, before you leave for vacation. Americans can't wait for health care.

I understand that creating sweeping health care reform for an ailing system is no small task. I just ask that you consider the burden you may be placing on middle class families before casting your vote.

Right now many Americans are struggling through job loss and home foreclosures. Don't add escalating health care costs to their predicament.

Even today many Americans are forced to choose between paying their light bill and paying their ever-increasing health insurance premium. You are in the position to help each and every one of us. Please vote "YES" on H.B. 3200.
