Stand Up for the Women of South Dakota!

The South Dakota Advocacy Network for Women proudly presents,

 Women 4 Women Day

Women and men from across the state are invited to participate in this exciting day to rally, lobby and be visible to the South Dakota Legislature.   

We want our voices to be heard on important women's issue such as:

• Reproductive Rights
• Violence Against Women
• Equal Opportunity
• Education

The day will begin at 10:00am, for those riding the bus, at the Capitol in Pierre. Take the bus for free from Brookings or Sioux Falls! Each participant will receive a packet which includes talking points on the issues and tips on how to speak with your legislator.  We will sit in on committee hearings, observe the Senate and House chambers in action and end the day with a legislative reception.  Let's show the South Dakota Legislature that we care about lawmaking in our state:  laws which affect our lives, our bodies and our families!  Our voices need to be heard now more than ever! Please join us in Pierre!  

Lunch will be provided for those who are interested in joining us.  This year we are excited to have Democracy in Action host a panel of progressive women's voices.
