Facilitator:  Erica Monasterio, MN, FNP

Professionals working with sexually active youth are often concerned about their relationships:  are they healthy, reciprocal, voluntary and safe?  This interactive workshop will assist providers in building the skills to identify unhealthy, coercive or abusive relationships in which their clients may be engaged.  Approaches to the assessment and counseling of youth in coercive and abusive relationships will be discussed, as well as counseling approaches to assist youth to resist coercion and enhance safer dating practice.
