UNEQUAL PARTNERS:  ADDRESSING POWER AND CONSENT IN ADULT-TEEN AND OTHER RELATIONSHIPS

Facilitator: Melissa Keyes DiGioia

This workshop aims to increase professionals' understanding of the dynamics, complexities and risks of adult-teen and other unhealthy relationships.  Participants will review and practice methods for effective interactions with young people about healthy relationships, including how to understand guidelines for consent, how to recognize the warning signals of unhealthy relationships and how to communicate about relationship issues.  Participants will receive a copy of Unequal Partners:  Teaching about Power and Consent in Adult-Teen and Other Relationships.  

Participants will have an opportunity to follow up with the speaker on a conference call in March 2009.
