This workshop will be conducted in Spanish.
Latinos share common factors with other ethnic groups that increase vulnerability to negative health and social outcomes, such as discrimination, poverty, lack of information, substance use and negative attitudes toward condoms. The workshop will emphasize the need for Latinos to work within their own community and with their allies to break the silence around sexuality and overcome homophobia and sexism. Participants will have an opportunity to follow up with the speaker on a conference call in February 2009.
