EC Does It: The Power of Emergency Contraception

Sometimes called the "morning-after pill," Emergency Contraception (EC) is a misunderstood, yet critical, resource. The trainers will explain how EC works, as well as data and education strategies from PPNYC’s EC campaign. Our EC campaign has developed messages specifically for Latino and Caribbean immigrant women and other messages for teens, parents, service providers and clinicians. At the end of this training, participants will be able to: articulate how EC works, communicate effective messages about EC, and develop education and outreach plans for their communities.

Fee: Free
Audience: Health and social service providers, including clinical staff, health educators, counselors, and case managers

PPNYC Trainers:

Marissa Billowitz, M.A., Director of Emergency Contraception Education and Outreach

Sahnah Lim, Sex Education Program Coordinator
