The Activist Council is a group that was launched at the beginning of 2005 for people who want to get more involved in Planned Parenthood's advocacy work. The group meets approximately once a month to get more in-depth information about current issues and to work together on advocacy projects and activist events.

The four training sessions are at Planned Parenthood on June 12th, June 19th, June 26th, and July 10th. (All are Thursdays from 6-8pm.) The trainings are designed to bring new members up to speed on current reproductive health and rights issues, meet the other pro-choice New Yorkers, and begin to talk about projects and actions. Each session will cover a different topic, and no previous knowledge is required. Attendees will also have an opportunity to learn more about Planned Parenthood and what they will be doing as members of the Activist Council.

See you there!
