Is it normal for a six-year-old to ask, “What’s a condom?” Do you sometimes wonder “Why is this teenager acting so moody?”  Oftentimes the answers to these types of questions lie in understanding the stages of child sexual development.  As caring adults, we can better support and guide children and teens through these stages when we understand what is normal and healthy at each stage.  At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: describe at least one sexual development characteristic of children at each stage of development, and identify ways that service providers can help children and youth to lead sexually healthy and responsible lives at each stage of development.

When:  Friday, July 10, 2009 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Fee:  $25.00

Audience:  New sex educators, youth and social service providers, and other interested adults
