This workshop will allow participants to explore their personal experiences and assumptions concerning gender and sexual orientation, as well as understand the many terms used to describe gender and sexual orientation.  At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: describe how society and personal experiences shape ideas about gender and gender roles, define gender and sexual orientation terms, and articulate how homophobia and heterosexism negatively affect communities.
