This course is designed to give participants a basic understanding of HIV/AIDS, HIV transmission, and the benefits of HIV testing and treatment. At the end of the training, participants will be able to: describe how HIV is and is not transmitted, explain the importance of early treatment, and provide basic information about the benefits of HIV testing and treatment. This course is a prerequisite for the two-day course on “Offering HIV Testing in Community-Based Organizations Serving High-Risk Communities.”
