Join us for a citywide Day of Action to demonstrate the power of pro-choice New York!
The Basics:
Join activists from New York City and around the region for a Day of Action on June 11th to raise awareness about the importance of Real Sex Education and learn how to be an effective grassroots activist. We will be hitting the streets, so be sure to wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We will provide lunch for a $5 suggested donation, but you are also free to bring a lunch of your own. Indicate in the comments section: "I will bring lunch" or "Please provide lunch for me."
Participants will:
1. Learn multiple hands-on grassroots skills, such as:
o Petitioning;
o Phone banking; and
o Writing a letter-to-the-editor
2. Meet other activists that are committed to change.
3. Get a free T-shirt!
4. Have a great time while raising awareness about a crucial issue!
What Can You Expect?
Hands-on participation. It’s an all-day training that will take us out of our homes and into the streets and parks. We’ll be hitting the streets (and the phones) to tell people – real people – why they should care about comprehensive sex education.
You will probably do things you’ve never done before and you will have a great time!
