Young women experience their first periods in a variety of ways, just as elder women approach their last menstrual cycles in different ways. Biology has a hand in this variation, along with lifestyle and culture. At the end of the workshop, participants will be able to: understand the menstrual cycle and explain its different stages, describe the biological processes involved in how women experience their menstrual cycles, and identify psychosocial factors that influence women’s experiences from menarche to menopause.
When: Wednesday, June 25, 2008 1:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Fee: $25.00
Audience: New sex educators, youth and social service providers, and other interested adults
