HIV Prevention Funds
Help Protect Ohio's Teens from HIV!
We have recently learned that the Ohio Department of Education has decided not to apply for HIV prevention funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Time is slipping away. Please write to the Ohio Department of Education today and insist that they apply for these critical and lifesaving funds.

Subject: Please apply for HIV prevention funds
Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
Please reconsider your decision to not apply for $1.25 million in HIV prevention funding from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Without basic information, many young people are making poor decisions that are resulting in an increase in rates of sexually transmitted infections, such as chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV.
As the Plain Dealer said in a recent editorial, "Teenagers need to know that they could be putting their own lives, and many other people's, in danger."
The Ohio Department of Education is in a position to take a step toward improving the situation in our schools and providing lifesaving information to our children.
Please, for the sake of Ohio's children, submit an application for these much needed funds by the November 21 deadline.
Sincerely,
|
