Don't Let Your Neighbors Get Tricked this Halloween!
Make Sure They Know to Vote YES on 66 and 67 in January!
With Halloween around the corner, little
ghosts and goblins will soon be roaming the streets looking for
treats.
At the same time, the corporate lobbyists opposed to
Measures 66 and 67 are also out, trying to frighten
Oregonians with scare tactics and ghost stories of their own.
Here are some ways you can make sure your neighbors
aren't tricked by the corporate lobbyists' spooooky
tactics.
Talk to Your Neighbors From the Comfort of Your Front
Door!
The great thing about Halloween is
that it's one giant Reverse Canvass. With your neighbors coming
to your door, it's a great opportunity to spread the
word about voting Yes in January without
distracting from the immediate need for candy.
It's as easy as printing up a couple of signs and some cards
you can hand out at the door.
We've created everything you need to tell your neighbors
about why they should vote YES on Measures 66 and 67. Click here
to download and print flyers you can hang in your window and
mini
cards you can drop into the candy bags of the trick or
treaters who visit your house.
All you need is a color printer and a pair of scissors (and
maybe some adult supervision).
The Great Pumpkin Carving Contest: Turn Your Pumpkin Into A
Vote-Yes-O-Lantern!
We've received a number of pictures from people who've carved
their pumpkins into Vote-Yes-O-Lanterns, so we thought we'd ask
for more submissions and hold a contest!
Does your jack-o-lantern have what it takes to be the Great
Pumpkin? Find a creative way to use your pumpkin to tell people
to vote yes in January, take a picture, and enter it into our
Great Pumpkin Carving Contest by emailing it to pumpkins@defendoregon.org.
The winner will receive life-long fame by having their
pumpkin photo prominently displayed on the Vote Yes website!
