Dear [ Decision Maker ] ,
Texas teens are in trouble and need your help now more than ever. As you know, Texas leads the nation in teen births and this is causing devastating effects on our community. Furthermore, recent studies indicate that 1 in 4 teenagers have a sexually transmitted disease. Both unintended pregnancy and sexually transmitted diseases are prevented when teens have access to comprehensive medically-accurate age-appropriate sex education that includes abstinence.
In preparation for the upcoming legislative session, I urge you to file and support legislation that will provide our teens with real effective information that will allow them to make informed decisions. I urge you to stand up for teen health and to support comprehensive medically-accurate age-appropriate sex education.
