Taryn Crosby, is a sex educator by day and a sex educator by night, talking to everyone from teens to older adults about healthy, sex-positive experiences since 2004. She worked at Babeland, a woman-owned sex toy boutique, for three years and has recently returned as an alumnus teacher. She currently coordinates PPNYC’s Brooklyn Teen Advocate program, a peer education group. As a trainer, Taryn has most recently facilitated workshops on consent and “Don’t Forget the Pleasure in Sex Education.”

Sarah Elspeth Patterson, M.Ed. is a Sexuality Educator/Trainer at PPNYC, experienced in developing and implementing sexuality education curricula for youth and adult audiences, with particular focus on promoting the health and well being of gender and sexual minorities. Prior to joining the Education Department at Planned Parenthood, Sarah conducted sexuality workshops for Babeland and was involved in HIV/AIDS research at the Center for HIV Studies and Training (CHEST) at Hunter College. She currently co-bottomlines the Educational Team for the Sex Workers Outreach Project of New York City and also teaches for the American Medical Students Association’s Sexual Health Scholars Program.

Emily Saltzman, MSW is a community-based social worker and currently serves as the Adult Role Models Program Coordinator at PPNYC, where she recruits and trains parents to facilitate workshops for other parents and caring adults on how to communicate with children about sexuality. She has also created, coordinated and facilitated workshops on supporting and empowering LGBTQ young people in education and health settings. Prior to joining PPNYC, Emily has worked with Gay Men’s Health Crisis, Queers for Economic Justice and The Undoing Racism Internship Project.
