Save the Date for Our Annual Luncheons

Each spring more than 2,000 Planned Parenthood supporters gather at our Annual Luncheons in Dallas and Fort Worth to celebrate the work we do in our community, hear a great keynote speaker and give to the organization about which we care so deeply.

The two events take place just weeks apart, and are PPNT’s largest annual fundraisers for supporting its education, outreach and healthcare.

News of Note box.jpg

Planned Parenthood is here.
Stand with PPNT!

After socially conservative legislators made targeting Planned Parenthood their priority in 2011, we lost more than 50% of our family planning funding.  Here in North Texas, we have been forced to close five health centers, and more than 30,000 women and men are in danger of losing access to basic medical care.  In spite of these political attacks – we’re still here.

We’re here because of your support.  Please stand with Planned Parenthood by making a gift today.  www.ppnt.org/standwithppnt

Barack Obama
Birth Control Coverage Without Co-Pay at Risk

Anti-choice groups and their allies in Congress are pressuring President Obama to restrict access to insurance coverage of birth control. Tell President Obama to stand strong against these attacks on birth control access.

Back in August, the Obama administration issued regulations that would require insurance coverage of birth control with no co-pay as part of healthcare reform – a win for women’s health. Anti-choice members of Congress want to expand the current, narrow religious exemption to deny birth control coverage to millions of workers, students and families.

Or, text BCREFUSAL to 69866 and follow the instructions to call the White House. Tell President Obama to reject efforts to take away the birth control coverage benefit from millions of Americans who work at religiously affiliated hospitals, universities, schools, or organizations.

Bey-Z
Celebrities: They Plan Their Parenthood Too!

Stars Beyonce and Sean "Jay-Z" Carter have always been quiet about their private lives as a couple, especially about starting a family. Back in August, the couple revealed that they were expecting their first child. Beyonce has always made it clear that she would have children when she was ready. And, in an interview with GQ, Jay-Z reveals that having an absentee father made him wait to have children.  He did not want to become a father until he was confident he could be the kind of dad he wants to be to his child.

Congratulations to them for waiting until they were ready to take on the awesome task of raising a child!
